A clearer workspace
for university life.

Syllabus Sync connects academic planning, AI-assisted study through Sylla and campus wayfinding through Campus Navigation, starting at Macquarie University.

The team also developed Astronomy Open Night 2026 as a separate event project for Astronomy Night – FSE Outreach Team.

University life is spread across too many places.

Assessment dates live inside unit outlines, classes sit in another timetable, and events arrive by email. Locations hide inside campus maps, and study help is a separate system again.

Separate team project: Astronomy Open Night 2026 was developed by Leo Alavi and Mohammad Raouf Abedini for Astronomy Night – FSE Outreach Team. It is not part of the Syllabus Sync platform.

We are starting where we know the student experience firsthand.

Macquarie University is where we build and test first. Unit information, campus context and student workflows get checked against real student needs before we expand anywhere else.

Syllabus Sync is an independent platform and is not an official university service.

Macquarie University Incubator

Selected for the Macquarie University Incubator in May 2026.

Syllabus Sync was selected for the Macquarie University Incubator in May 2026, providing the team with access to mentoring, customer discovery and founder development opportunities.

Syllabus Sync is an independent platform and is not an official university service.

A realistic path from Macquarie to Australia.

Every phase below is a future direction, not a commitment or a confirmed rollout.

Phase 1

Macquarie University

Validate the Syllabus Sync workspace, Sylla study experience and Campus Navigation companion at Macquarie, informed by student feedback and the Macquarie University Incubator.

  • Validate academic planning workflows
  • Improve Sylla's study tools
  • Validate the Campus Navigation handoff
  • Gather student feedback
  • Incubator-supported development
Phase 2

Expansion to other Sydney universities

A future direction, not a confirmed rollout: adapting the data layer for institution-specific academic and campus information, and validating integrations one university at a time as partnerships and feasibility allow.

  • Adapt the data layer for new institutions
  • Add institution-specific academic information
  • Add campus-specific navigation data
  • Explore partnership and pilot opportunities
Phase 3

Australia-wide expansion

A longer-term direction: standardising institution adapters and building the scalable, multi-tenant infrastructure a broader Australian rollout would need.

  • Standardise institution adapters
  • Develop multi-tenant architecture
  • Build broader student-experience infrastructure

Built by two founders.

The founders build Syllabus Sync, Sylla and the connected Campus Navigation app. They developed Astronomy Open Night 2026 separately for Astronomy Night – FSE Outreach Team.

Student technology should earn trust.

Syllabus Sync is designed around privacy, security and responsible data handling. We minimise what we collect, protect what you send through this site, and build clear controls around personal information.

We build accessibility and internationalisation into the platform from the start. Sylla's AI features can be wrong or incomplete, so treat its output as a study aid rather than a source of truth.

Built from the
student experience.

Syllabus Sync began with a simple problem: students move between portals, PDFs, calendars, maps and study tools to manage one academic day.

We are building a calmer experience with planning in Syllabus Sync, study support in Sylla and wayfinding in Campus Navigation.Syllabus Sync is an independent platform and is not an official university service.

Questions, clearly answered.

What is Syllabus Sync?

Syllabus Sync is an independent student platform for academic planning. Its ecosystem includes the Sylla study experience and connects with the Campus Navigation mobile companion.

What is Sylla?

Sylla is the AI-assisted study layer in the Syllabus Sync ecosystem. It has its own interface. Chat is in early access; summaries, explanations, flashcards, quizzes and study planning currently use prototype mock responses.

What is Campus Navigation?

Campus Navigation is a dedicated iOS and Android app for finding locations and navigating campus. The mobile app accepts destination deep links; the handoff from Syllabus Sync still needs integration. Public download links are not yet confirmed.

Does it replace my university portal?

No. It is designed as an organisational layer and does not replace official enrolment, learning, policy, assessment or emergency systems.

Which universities are supported?

The current implementation is for Macquarie University. Expansion to other Sydney universities, and later across Australia, is a future direction, not a confirmed rollout.

Is Syllabus Sync free?

Current availability and any pricing are shown in the main application before you create an account.

Is the platform accessible?

The information site targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA and includes keyboard, focus, reduced-motion, contrast and semantic support. It does not yet claim formal conformance.

Can universities work with Syllabus Sync?

Yes, institutions can explore a pilot or collaboration conversation without any implication of an existing partnership or endorsement.

What is Astronomy Open Night?

Astronomy Open Night 2026 is a separate event project developed by Leo Alavi and Mohammad Raouf Abedini for Astronomy Night – FSE Outreach Team. It is not a Syllabus Sync product. The published app provides the event programme, campus map, venue previews and an Astronomy Passport.
